Well, if people would POST MORE OFTEN, things might be a little more lively!

FINE! I DID! In the words of Michelle Branch "Are you happy now?" By the way the uhh... Exclamatory and seemingly emotional outburst is all in jest... so don't get on my case "o ye negative one." <cough> puddleglum <cough>
two days later...
EDIT: Point and case. (Still deader'n a doornail)
three days later...
EDIT: More point and more case! (deader'n... a really dead thing)

no, a really dead thing would not have people editing their posts umteen-kajilion times

I think "deader than a coffin-nail" might be more accurate....

ok I admit to being alive. But the forum....
|

Post by Middle Earth Mouse on Mar 16, 2006 8:54:18 GMT -5
...is only mostly dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead.

carry on my only mostly dead soldier! Perhaps if someone was to do more than argue about the level of... "deadity" of the forum then it might have more life.... just a thought.

Dead is dead. Exemplar of this: Death to sin is complete and utter. The forum is alive s'long as it's alive.
Alive and dead don't mix.

Post by Middle Earth Mouse on Mar 16, 2006 19:28:50 GMT -5

I do try! But if you meant "crying", then she is now physically unable. I have grow 2" in the last year, so I'm much taller than her now.

Post by st1_Emrys on Mar 17, 2006 18:16:44 GMT -5
I wouldn't doubt her... but I did mean try, because I thought pnnumonia (not to mention the other two) was a bit over the top... if you aren't sure theres this great site called dictionary.com... also you could type your posts in word beforehand and run spell-check on them...I believe googling the word will bring up corrections as well. But I mean Pnnumonia? Thats sickening. try this: Pneumonia.

I'm not buying the plane ticket... but as long as we keep the smiting on the forum I'll give the Mouse a lil' whack as well.

Just a funny thought James... why does the Bible use the specific phrase "half-dead" (Luke 10)? If half dead isn't a usable phrase... I just thought that a little odd.

|
|
Post by Kirke on Mar 21, 2006 16:19:04 GMT -5
I said that in regards to mostly dead, which is not a turn of speech. Half dead is, and by its very definition, does not mean dead at all:
be half-dead (informal) to be very tired (We've been walking all day and I'm half-dead.)

And if no one has noticed, the good Sir Penguin has not been seen in these parts since he first appeared.

It almost leads one to doubt his "good"ness.
But he is the Pope. That has to count for something.

You people are all insane. The matter is final: Our forum is no longer dead, due to a discussion on death. Mouse can't spell, but I found it amusing that in the very post suggesting various ways to remedy that, there were three rather glaring grammatical errors. I love humanity.
