What didn't you like about Peter Jackson's LotR films?
I didn't like the way that Faramir was portrayed. As one of my favorite characters, I was quite disappointed to see him fail to resist the Ring's temptation. I just wish the Faramir in the movie had been in keeping with the Faramir of the books.
That's the Faramir I've come to know.

Aye, Faramir was not the Faramir that you know in the books. Boromir wasn't as likeable either.
One of my big gripes with the movies is the fact that Frodo is such an annoying wuss. He wasn't in the books.
Also, I was dissapointed that they didn't do the full extent of the scene between Eowyn and Aragorn as she's pleading with him to let her go with him on the Paths of the Dead.

Yeah, you would. Frodo was slightly annoying. Boromir could have been better, but all in all, Bean's performance was pretty good, I thought. Then, Christopher Lee's Saruman was quite good. But isn't he always? Espeically as evil characters? (i.e. Count Dooku. Yeah. The best performance in Star Wars Episode II. Yeah. That was my two cents.)

Could you imagine Christopher Lee and Sean Connery going at it in a movie? The two masters...

I dunno, just the fact that the two of them are very good. The both of them ( plus some others, like Viggo Mortensen or Harrison Ford) would make for a pretty good movie.

True enough. He made a GREAT Indiana Jones, but I don't think he would be too good at 007. That requires too much...stuffiness.

I didn't like frodo...Friggin pansy. and I didn't like Celeborn, but, then again, I hate him anyway, so I never really expected to like him. And I didn't like faramir in ttt...and the wargs in ttt...and aragorn plunging 2 snillion feet into a raging river adn surviving after floating down 5 kasnillion feet of rapids...and I'll stop now. Oh, wait. I didn't like Christopher Lee's absence in RotK.
I love Christopher Lee. He is amazing. THey all are.

Yes, Aragorn's untimely fall was very annoying. I have been rather PO'd that the invasion of Hobbiton was not in the theatrical version. C'mon! That was the hobbit's finest hour!

PJ didn't like the hobbiton in ruins thing from the books, so that's part of the reason why he didn't do it in the movie. I didn't like it that they made Boromir into a kind of big, mean, power-hungry jerk. I mean, he was a little like that in the books, but they overdid it.

There's a saying in the performance business: Exaggerate, and you'll get it just right. They went too far with Faramir, too; but people will always have differing interpretations.
