yeah, Happy birthday. Except it's not. Anyhow, you lived 14 or 15 years, you should be proud. (excuse the cynical tone, I'm not understanding of why birthdays are celebrated)

Haha, you should listen to Patton Oswalt's rant on birthdays in one of those Live at Gotham shows on Comedy Central. It's some funny stuff. But really, I think it's sort of a "why not" kinda thing. Who doesn't like a more-happy-than-usual day every once in a while? Besides, I very highly doubt it'd hurt whoever's having the birthday.

I dunno, I just don't like brithday celebrations. The -why not- makes sense, but i tend to need solid -whys- and definitions. Though you are mostly right, few people are hurt by having a brithday, and few don't like the -just be happy days-
