Tanda and Lenna had made it...kind've. When they got to the rendevous point, there was no sign of Alek. Lenna was worried, but Tanda was sure that he would make it.
After several days on the desolate moon, Tanda's radar picked up a new signal. "Lenna! Come! It's him! Alek is within one parsec of us. He should be here within the hour."
Lenna looked a strange mix between inquisitive and elated "Can we not radio him?" "We can, but we shouldn't. Radio silence is safest." That was...mostly true. Tanda also wished to surprise Alek...

While Lenna didn't exactly see the need for maintained comm silence, she reasoned that 'you never know who might be listening.' She'd wait.
"Tanda, what's he look like?" she asked.
"Don't you remember? It hasn't been that long, has it?" Tanda responded.
"Yes, but little things do change."
"I'll keep you in suspense."

Alek came in and landed without turbulence. Lenna and Tanda were waiting at the land site. With a great 'WHOOSH', Alek's ship opened, and he strode out...

Before she could stop herself, Lenna was rushing to meet Alek. The look on his face was near shock when he saw her. She came to an abrupt halt one foot from Alek.
"It's been too long," she murmured, then made her tone a bit louder and said, "Alek, are you going to get over the shock, or do I have to make you?"
He smiled and said, "Pinch me. I must be dreaming." Lenna pinched him, and he winced exaggeratedly. "Well, I guess I'm awake," he said.

Tanda smiled, and pointedly turned her head away. If the two wanted privacy, they'd get it. She knew how they both felt, and wanted to let them greet each other properly...

Suddenly, another X-wing came into view. It touched down as Tanda reappeard in the clearing. Lenna saw her stand, in shock, as the pilot decended, for it was someone she knew very well....

Tanda rushed over, ignoring the blast of CO2 coming from the spacecraft. Kerik strode slowly out, looking around. Suddenly, he was on the ground. Before either party could blink, his knife was at his assaultant's throat. Tanda froze, just looking into Kerik's eyes, one hand on his at the hilt of the knife. Kerik slowly realized who it was...he sheathed his knife and simply stared, but not for long. Tanda threw herself at him in an enormous hug "You're alive!" "Really? I hadn't noticed" "I missed you," Tanda stated far more softly...

Lenna removed her gaze from Tanda and Kerik and looked back at Alek.
"It's been too long," she said again.
Alek gazed into her eyes and took her hands in his. "Let's make up for lost time," he said, and took her in his arms. They stood that way for a long time....

Tanda chuckled, figuring that she and Kerik need not worry about being interrupted. "I missed you too. What has it been? Six months?" "Something like that," Tanda found her voice getting softer and softer. Without further ado, Kerik leaned over and expressed his gratitude for the reception. Tenderly. Tanda let herself be enfolded in Kerik's embrace...

....Finally, Lenna pulled back from the embrace, if only just slightly. "Alek?"
"Yes?"
"I love you." And she hugged him again. Alek however had different ideas. He tilted her chin up so she was looking him in the eyes, then leaned down and kissed her.....

Tanda pulled away, if only to breathe. "Why are you here? I thought you were still on assignment?" "I am.." Kerik began, "Does your assignment really include reunions with old friends?" "Only friends? I suppose..." "Does it also involve kissing?" "Only when I run in to beautiful people." "You've been running around the galaxy kissing all the beautiful people you meet?" "Well, I've only met one.." and with that, Kerik drew her in again, with a renewed passion. Tanda pressed close to him, remembering it was just the other day she feared that this would never happen again...

When Alek finally broke the kiss, Lenna said, "Well. That was certainly interesting."
"Only interesting?" Alek questioned.
"Need I describe it further?" When Alek nodded, Lenna continued, "Wonderful. Satisfied now?"
"Once more," Alek said, and kissed her again.

Tanda and Kerik stayed close to each other, just enjoying the precence of one another. "So I take it you missed me?" Kerik asked softly. For and answer, Tanda drew him close one last time, wondering what it was she had touched in his mind that one day. She reached out with her mind to find that his was reaching for hers. 'You're a Jedi?' she sent across the ever strengthening link of minds. ' Yes,' Kerik's mind whispered, 'Yes, I suppose I am.'

Lenna pulled back from Alek and jerked her head in the direction of Tanda and Kerik. "Think we should interrupt them?" she asked.
Alek didn't answer directly, only shouted, "Hey, lovebirds, you finished over there?"

Tanda heard Alek's shout and turned a lovely shade of red, hiding her face in Kerik's chest as she laughed. Kerik chuckled..his stream-across-stones chuckle..and held her. "Yes, I suppose we could be. We were only waiting for you. I didn't know you had a mistress, Alek. You should have told me sooner."
It was Alek's turn to blush "She is not my mistress. She's my girlfriend! And it is no buisiness of yours..." he joked. "Besides, it's not my fault that you and Tanda proclaim your love to the galaxy."

Lenna shook her head. The issues of the male gender.... "Come on Tanda," she said. "Since they're obviously the best of friends, we'll leave them to discuss their exploits. Want to spar?" Lenna unclipped her lightsaber from her belt and hefted it in her hand.

"You'd best be careful, missy. All you've had to practice against are Ewoks and tree-roots. Prepare to get beaten!"

Lenna punched Tanda, but not very hard. "That was for that crack about the tree root. I'm probably better than you think." She ignited her lightsaber, and Tanda did the same.

They danced around, parrying, thrusting, slashing, dodging. Tanda caught Lenna on the arm, but not hard or her arm would be off. Lenna fought all the harder for it, and the two continued their spar.
Out of nowhere, another two forms jumped in the middle of their sparring, attacking them. Lenna and Tanda were forced to join forces against Alek and Kerik.

Through the fighting, Lenna said, "You know, Tanda, you make a good ally."
Tanda's reply was to-the-point: "Of course."
They continued sparring until everyone was exhausted. No one had won, particularly, except that Alek claimed the he and Kerik had been the definitive force; Lenna adamantly disagreed.
After a while of resting and chatting, Lenna said, "Alek, can I talk to you? Privately?"
"Sure," Alek answered. Lenna saw Tanda smirk at her, and Lenna shot her a dirty look. Once she and Alek were out of earshot of the others, Lenna said, "Alek, why didn't you tell me you were Jedi?"
"I haven't seen you for three years, remember?"
"Of course, but why haven't I been able to feel you?"
"I'm not as Force-sensitive as you are, Lenna. It's taken a while to cultivate my Jedi ablilties."
"Oh." Lenna was momentarily nonplussed, but then she smiled. "Nevermind. It doesn't really matter. Let's get back to Tanda and Kerik before they get out of hand."

Tanda and Kerik, of course, were only slightly out of hand. Tanda collapsed on the ground, panting. Kerik flopped down beside her. "Out of shape, there?" "No...just...tired." "You really gave me a run for my money. I was afraid I was going to lose a limb." "Oh, wouldn't that be a shame. You would look far less attractive with a missing appendage." "Would I?" "Quite. Tell me, did I dream that you have Jedi powers, or was that real?" "You want to try again to see if it was?" "All parts included?" "If you wish..."
As the two drew closer, they both reached out with their minds to find that it had most certainly not been a dream. Unfortunately for Tanda's pride, however, Lenna and Alek chose that moment to return...

"Hey!" Lenna shouted at Tanda. "This is hardly fair. If Alek and I can restrain ourselves, you ought to be able to. After all, it's only been--what, six months?--for you. Get a hold of yoursleves!"

Tanda laughed..."Well at least you've had Ewoks for company! All I ever get to talk to is my ship computer! Besides, can you blame Kerik? He hasn't got to see me for six months. And its been stressful. Behind enemy lines and all that..."

"Likewise!" Kerik quickly steepped in between the two, gently ending the debate. "Anyway, Alek was here for an official rondevous with Tanda. Shouldn't we be accomplishing buisness for the Rebellion?" "And why are you here, again?" Lenna inquired

Kerik hesitated. "Well," he said, "I'm on leave, actually, just for a short time. I managed to find out where Tanda was going to be, and I believe you know the rest."
"Oh...Tanda, what is this top-secret meeting to be about? Or can't you tell me?"

"May I?"
Tanda replied, "Kerik is my Trust-keeper, so you may discuss it in the open" "Well, this mission actually puts Tanda in more danger than myself. I am to tell her that she is reassigned. She is to go on the front lines." Kerik suddenly apearred rather irate, "What? she is to do no such thing!" "She happens to be the best pilot we have. Things are picking up and we need a new squadron leader." "No--" "I'll do it." Tanda cut Kerik off,"I didn't join the rebellion to sneak around in safe territories." "But you--" "I'll be fine," she said, laying a hand on his arm, "You made it through your covert ops mission alright. I can pull through this."

Lenna tried her best to reassure Kerik: "From what I know of her (and that's not very much), she'll be fine, Kerik. You needn't worry."
"Probably, but I do anyway."
